It is officially summer around here. Brent finished up his semester and graduated with his Associates in Science and Arts, two for the price of one. I am just so proud of him, he has dedicated himself to school for the past two years and has done phenomenally well. When we met he had not taken any college courses and now he is halfway to his Bachelors degree and finished Calculus three with and "A".
Brent was accepted into Arizona State University's Chemical Engineering program and will start this Fall semester. We are happy to be able to stay close to family and to save ourselves from paying out of state tuition somewhere else.
It has been a busy two years but I can't believe we have made it to this point, looking back it does seem like it took us too long. Now I am trying to take that perspective looking at the road to him graduating from ASU. What a glorious day it will be when I can send him off to work that he will enjoy doing and of his hard work with become a paycheck.
Brent won a Math contest and received a scholarship at a banquet. My mother was kind enough to come and watch Vieve while I went and supported Brent. It was a great dinner and fun to celebrate his accomplishments and a date.
