USS Midway

Touring the USS Midway so fun. Luke loved to stare at everything, G love climbing the ladders and Brent was our personal tour guide explaining what everything was. Brent was stationed on a destroyer when he was in the Navy, but was able to explain what things were on the Aircraft Carrier. When we got to the Engine room he was giddy. he would explain what he job was and show us all of the parts and explained what they did. Working as a Damage Controlman in the Navy sparked his interest in Engineering.Everyone really enjoy the tour. Luke was so excited to be in the cockpit and practically hyperventilating with excitement. That boy really loves airplanes.

San Diego Temple

Monday Night is Family night at our house and Genivieve insisted we go to the San Diego Temple. We agreed that was a wonderful idea. Driving up the freeway to the temple is majestic and waking the grounds with the Spirit so strong was wonderful. I love when Genivieve sings "I Love To See The Temple" as we walk the grounds. She is a valiant little one. Luke slept right trough the fun.

California Dreamin'

Sunset on the pier was magical. I want to remember that forever.

I love our little family and I am so glad we could take this little trip to beach.

Spring Break Part 1

Brent works so hard with school and we just don't get enough family time, so we decided to take the kids to San Diego and drink up the healing powers of the Pacific Ocean. This was our first real family vacation where we didn't stay with exteneded family or visit anyone. Just us four and oh boy it was spectacular.

Thanks to Groupon we found a great deal on a Hotel and it turned out to be perfect for our sleeping arrangements, 2 rooms is a must. Luke does not like to share his sleep space.

We drove right to the beach to put our toes in the sand and watch the sun set. The kids loved the beach, Genivieve did not like walking over the seaweed. A small price to pay. Luke was a born beach baby. I have never seen him so happy. He loved crawling in and out of the sand castle holes and was just a delight. Best start to our family vacation!
