Thank-FULLs

Even though Thanksgiving has passed I didn't want to miss putting together our list of what we are thankful for, we have so many to count this year.
  1. Finding love and happiness together, marriage
  2. Work. This is a HUGE one for us this year, times were hard but we have been so very blessed.
  3. Education. Brent started his college career and I hope to be finishing mine here shortly.
  4. An amazing ward, lots of new friends and a place of our own (even if we are renting).
  5. Our Little Miss. We'll be even more thankful if she comes before the new year... tax credit!
  6. Modern medicine. Being pregnant keeps all those modern marvels away and I will be thankful to take some again. But we are so thankful for Doctors and hospitals.
  7. Family. For all the love and support, one can never get enough.
  8. Our Savior. He has given us the greatest gift through his Atoning sacrifice, how grateful we are every day.
  9. Technology. How did we ever survive without Internet and laptops?
  10. Cool Weather. Triple digit temps are gone for some time and cool 60 degree temps are so welcome!
Thanksgiving was a fun day even being overcome with the worst cold in history! Not to mention four straight days to spend with my husband, how much fun we had going on dates and hanging out with the two of us while talking about how fun three will be! :-)

The Home Stretch

With the weeks of our little ones arrival coming we have been checking the boxes to finish the preparations. They all make me excited but, I'll start with the most significant. We have upgraded our super old, out of date and family unfriendly car for a shiny previously owned very family friendly ride. We now own a mini van! The best part is, I totally love it! So spacious and perfect to strap the Miss' car seat in.

There's no fighting the, "that's a mommy car". Folks, this one is about to be a mommy so might as well jump in and embrace it!

Next, my sweet husband scrubbed our home (and I mean military standars here) to prepare for Miss Vieve's arrival. Readers, I am one lucky wife. My house was sparkling at me as I walked through my door and that just makes me smile from ear-to-ear.

And this weekend I went to a children's consignment store with my mom as they were having a 50% OFF sale! We got So much stuff for $12. I love saving money! Now we have quite a few more things for the babe and I just want my baby out of my belly and in my arms. Soon, very soon. Only five more weeks but I secretly hope sooner (doesn't every pregnant mommy?) as long as she is healthy.

Well between now and baby time we will be enjoying our Thankgiving holiday. We have so much to be greatful for and well finals.

Veteran's Day

Veteran's Day is a big day around here, with Brent, my Dad and grandfather all veteran's I am very thankful for their service and most importantly their safe returns. So today I planned a special picnic in the park with Brent for his special day.

I just love this picture, he looks so young and so cute! :-)

Little girls

After a very fun filled and overwhelming weekend we are about ready for out Little Miss to get here. We have been so showed with love and gifts for her it's truly touching. We have such great family, friends and a ward family that have all jumped in there to bring Miss Vieve so many lovely things. She is so loved already, just can't believe it.

Having worked with little ones for so many years I knew what I needed to cover my bases without entering clutter zone, but having cared for little boys I am way behind in where to fin little girly things.

We got some super cute bows, headbands and flowers I can't wait to get her little head styling. I just learned about Whippy Cake and they are so cool! The head bands are Velcro as well as the flowers making them easy to change. So clever!

So as we went to the store last night to pick up some things Brent picked this out for Genivieve. It is a mirror for the car or even crib so she can look at herself (babies love that) and we can she her too! It's even an elephant!

So for all you Mama's of little girls what is it that you love for your little miss and where do you get them at?

Calming words

So I know I have said it before, but I will say it a million times. I love our Dr. seriously the best OB I have encountered and I have been to many!

I was very nervous for our 32 week appointment, but his calming words make me float away on a cloud. With my glucose test results high I thought I was going to loose my food freedom for the last 8 weeks of this pregnancy and that made me unbelievable sad! Along with the thought that she could get super big IF I had Gestational diabetes and end up coming via c-section (my greatest fear, still have nightmares about it).

But after talking with Dr. B, he is certain all is well and that my next test will come back normal. I have only gained one pound in 2 weeks and so at least that is staying normal and she is head down and very active! I am so glad she flipped! Even with pregnancy and eating meat I still can't seem to get enough iron and blood in this body, so more vitamins coming this way....

I am so glad to have such a good support group set for the delivery room between my Dr, husband and Mom. With Dr. B I am so calm and ready for this baby, but we still have 8 weeks.
This is the adorable banner my friend made for our little miss she is so talented!
